Hotel Riverton serves a Swedish Christmas buffet (Julbord) in Gothenburg in Restaurant ONE on the first floor — a dedicated restaurant designed for both intimate dinners and larger group celebrations. It is one of the few venues in the city combining a full Christmas buffet experience with a flexible event setting and central waterfront location.

From late November to mid-December, we invite you to gather colleagues, friends or family for a festive evening shaped by craftsmanship, atmosphere and attention to detail.

Our Christmas buffet

Our Christmas buffet is rooted in Swedish tradition, complemented by carefully selected modern influences. Every dish is prepared from scratch by our chefs, using high-quality seasonal ingredients.

The experience begins with a warm mulled wine reception, followed by a curated selection of traditional favourites and contemporary additions. Guests often move between the buffet and the table at their own pace — creating a relaxed rhythm to the evening, whether you are enjoying a quiet dinner or celebrating together with a larger party.

The experience concludes with coffee and a generous dessert table.

Planning a company Christmas dinner comes with expectations — the evening needs to feel right for everyone attending.

Restaurant ONE accommodates up to 260 guests and offers a flexible setting for both smaller groups and larger corporate events. With integrated technical solutions, adaptable layouts and the possibility to extend into adjoining spaces, the entire first floor can be shaped into a private event environment.

For larger occasions, this creates a seamless experience — from welcome drinks to dinner and beyond.

Minimum for exclusive use of Restaurant ONE is 150 guests.

Christmas-inspired lunch with a view

For a more compact festive alternative, we also offer a three-course Christmas-inspired lunch in View Skybar & Restaurant on the 12th floor.

With panoramic views over the harbour entrance, it’s well suited for conference breaks or daytime gatherings before the holiday season.

Many guests extend their evening by staying overnight, turning the Christmas dinner into a complete experience.

After dinner, unwind in Serenity Spa, which features a heated pool, sauna and hammam. This is particularly popular for couples as well as guests travelling to Gothenburg for the occasion.

Hotel Riverton is centrally located by the waterfront and offers an on-site garage with EV charging, making arrival and departure seamless. Selected weekends also include a 20% discount when booking a two-night stay.
